In October 1983 Re-Born
Automotive opened it's doors and performed its first repairs in a two-
bay shop in Vancouver, Washington. Owners Vincent Vierck and Mark Harper
brought their skills and professionalism to build a reputation as one of the finest import
specialty shops in Vancouver.
In August 1988 Re-Born expanded
and crossed the Columbia River and opened another shop in Portland on N.E.
ML King Blvd near Burnside, moving into the building of the once
renowned but recently defunct "Peace it Together" import repair
facility. The business in Portland grew, quality technicians and service
personal were hired, (several still employed with Re-Born), and we
quickly built a reputation as one of Portland's finest.
After continuing to do business for
16 years at our northeast location, Re-Born was ready to expand. A
similar import specialty shop became available in a larger facility and
in July 2005, Re-Born purchased and acquired The Import Garage and combined
the two businesses in the new location in Southeast Portland, located
exactly one mile south on ML King Jr. Blvd. With the move came more
changes, and after 22 years Vince and Mark ended their partnership, with
Vince becoming sole owner of the Portland shop and Mark taking over the
Vancouver shop. We continue to have a close relationship, and we would never hesitate to recommend a client or friend
to them.
Re-Born, now at its present location
at 1800 SE ML King Jr Blvd., continues to offer its clients the service
they deserve, offering quality repairs and maintenance on European,
Japanese and British automobiles. With some of the finest service folks
in the industry, we continue to educate and compensate our employees,
offering them the latest in diagnostic and maintenance service
equipment. We look forward to serving the greater Portland metropolitan
area for many years to come, and promise to continue to offer the
finest repairs, maintenance and service to our clients.
